How to make a Pattern / Template / Mold

This information below will help you make a Pattern / Template / Mold.

Cover the top portion of the headn with a 18-inch square clear plastic wrap.

Twist and pull down the clear plastic wrap over each ear, the plastic wrap will take form of the head.

Using a permanent marker, draw a pattern on the clear plastic wrap while gently stretching the wrap over your head.
Depending on your age, Though requirements vary from person to person, some rules of thumb apply to most,
Front hairline should be established by placing 3 or 4 of your fingers above the eye brow line, illustration below.
Lines are drawn from that point to form a pattern, which covers the bald area for skin bonding, illustration below
The template should be ˝ inch wider on each side and back, for hair track bonding.

After the entire outer perimeter of the pattern is drawn, the desired style should be indicated.

         * Indicate the growth pattern on the tape template.

Drawn The Balded Area

         * Remember to mark on the template with a permanent marker (F) =front (B) =back (L) =left (R) =right.

         * We can better identify what is the right left back or front of the template.

         * Mark the template with the current date .

        * Press the wrap close to the head, use transparent tape to contour the head shape.

        * Beginning at the forehead, place transparent tape on the wrap over what will become the outer perimeters of the pattern.

        * The areas of baldness determine these outer perimeters.
        * Cover the plastic wrap overlapping pieces of tape to cover and seal in the markings.
        * Apply 3 layers of tape.

The tape will lock the plastic wrap into a permanent transparent shape of the head becoming a mold of the head. “template”.

* After you have finished covering the plastic wrap, remove the tape template from your or your client’s head.

Apply 3 Layer Clear Tape

* Carefully, with the scissors, cut out the area you have marked with permanent marker.

You now have a  template of the head
